First Time Seller Tips

Spring is in the air...and you know what that means. That's right it's "Real Estate Season"! Spring is the busiest time for buying and selling real estate.
For you first time sellers that have never been through the real estate selling process before, here are a few tips to help you get started:

  1. Price your home right. Most home buyers look online first and their search criteria is typically rounded up or down. Instead of pricing your house $156,000, price it at 150,000 or 175,000. This will ensure that your house shows up at the top of the list in the search criteria.
  2. Market to the right people with the right tools. Add many sharp, clear images of your home on the listing websites. Provide a phone number that you know will always be answered by someone that has all the answers to any questions regarding the home.
  3. Stage your home for selling. Get rid of the clutter. When a house is cluttered, it no longer looks "cozy" it looks "cramped". Remove family pictures. You want the potential home buyer to envision them in your home, not envision you in their home.

Improve the market value of your home by replacing the carpet and painting the walls. Buyers love that "new home" smell. And most importantly, always hire a real estate professional. It's important to have a knowledgeable professional in your corner.
