Mortgage giant, Freddie Mac is trying a new tactic to receive a response from delinquent homeowners that have not been able to be contacted by phone or mail.
The government backed Freddie Mac has hired Titanium Solutions Inc., a private vendor that will offer in-home services to homeowners that are willing to save their home from foreclosure.
Services include helping homeowners qualify for the three-month trial payment period under the Obama Administrations' Making Home Affordable Program. For homeowners that have already started the trial period, Titanium Solutions will help homeowners complete the paperwork that is needed to finalize the process.
According to Ingid Beckles, Senior VP of the default asset management at Freddie Mac, “We believe this can give borrowers seeking Home Affordable Modifications the same type of personalized guidance they may have had when they were buying their home or applying for their mortgage.”
